How do I setup the T-Mobile APN Settings on my Phone?

If you are using an Android device (Samsung Galaxy, HTC, Huawei, etc.) please follow these simple steps to properly configure the Access Point Names on your phone:

First go to the Settings Menu (or slide down the notification bar and hit on the gear like icon).  Then go to Mobile Networks, from there you will see Access Point Names, then select menu and tab on Create New APN, type in the information provided above to activate the mobile internet on the phone.  Save and Exit.

You may want to watch these video instrucion on how to setup the APN on Android

Now you should see a small icon with the LTE, 4G or H bade indicating a proper connection has been established with the mobile provider’s server

Why do we need to setup the APNs or Access Point Names?

Well, an APN or Access Point Name they are a set of information that routes your smartphone to the correct mobile internet setting server, in this case it is routing you to the tmobile APN settings server.  These T MOBILE apn settings usually include a list of values such as: Name, APN, username, password, server, etc.  They are only valid for the specific carrier in that specific country, in other words, the T-Mobile APN settings here provided is only for the United States (USA)

I was having issues using cellular data after the latest Cyanogenmod OS update, and I’m guessing it must have switched the default APN. Now things are good again!
