Same here. Have an at&t branded lg v40 Thinq. It makes calls and has data, but WILL NOT send or receive texts. I’ve changed the apn settings that tracfone says will work. I do go through Safelink Wireless which is a sister co of Tracfone; perhaps there are different apn values for Safelink?

Can I use att Kyocera go phone sim card was put in and asked for a sim unlock pin I don’t know what it is..

    • apnsettings

Hi There, it looks like your phone is Locked to the carrier, that’s the reason why it is asking for a network unlock code. You can ask the original carrier where the phone was purchased from for the unlock code

Some good info on this site but it didn’t help me in my situation on my iPhone. The following is what worked for me to get service working correctly on my 5s Tracfone service. It’s actually very simple and basically just entails you go to a website to install the profile.

While connected to a Wi-Fi network, open Safari and type in ireseller.tracfone.com. By doing this you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions.
Tap Install > Install Now. Enter your phone’s Passcode if prompted, and tap Done.
Exit your browser, turn off Wi-Fi, and re-boot your iPad or iPhone.
With Wi-Fi off, access Safari to ensure your data connection is working.

    Hope this helps someone. ☺
