To start with, there are two Official versions of the Straight talk apn settings, one for those using Straight Talk AT&T service and another for those folks on the Straight Talk T-Mobile service:  So please locate the settings that correspond to your provider.

MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410

You don’t need to setup a username nor password.

Straight Talk T-Mobile service

For those folks running on T-Mobile, please us these:

Name: straight talk

APN: wap.tracfone

Port: 8080

MMSC: http://mms.tracfone.com

MMS Proxy:  Leave blank

MMS Port: Leave blank

Again, for user name and password leave it in blank

What happens if I cannot send or receive MMS in the Straight Talk Phone?

OK, this is a pretty common issue we have seen that many people are facing.  If after properly configuring the above APN Settings you are still not able to send or receive MMS messages in your straight talk phone, then please try this:

Install one of these applications and try (Textra, Chomp SMS, Handcent, Go SMS Pro)

Check which is your default SMS app in your phone.  Go to Settings>More>Default SMS App, from there try to switch to the one you downloaded and use it as Default

  7. Cameron

I am using a sims card from the straight talk activation kit. I am able to send messages and recurve them. I can also send picture messages, but when I try to use the Internet or any data it says I’m not subscribed to a cellular data service. Help! It’s an iPhone 5s, Verizon carrier

    • apnsettings

Hi Cameron, sending and receiving messages do not require a data plan, while using the internet does. can you confirm you have an active data plan? if you havent subscribed to any straight talk data plan, then you will receive this kind of message

    Hi!
I will be visiting the USA, I bought a sim card to use on my unlocked iphone while I’m in LA, will be visiting till 1st week of May, my question is, if I change the APN, how I change it back as it is now? Will that affect my phone?
    Thank you

    • apnsettings

Hi Kaya, you can create a New APN and this way you dont have to edit/reomve the exiting ones… once you go back to your country, just go in and select the old one back

I just got a new IPhone and chose TMobile for my network. Straight talk sent me directons and instructed me to put http://www.mmsc.tracfone in the MMSC field and it didn’t work. What you have listed on your site is correct. It worked when I put http://www.mms.tracfone and I’m glad it did because I was about to return my phone for a refund. Thank you for the correct info!

    • apnsettings

Hey Jan, glad to know… thats an iPhone you bought from Straight Talk directly or you just bought the sim card?
