Vodafone UK APN Settings – Vodafone use different APN options to manage the connection type you will use, whether you will connect to the 3G or GPRS networks or whether you are using the Montly/contract subscription or the Pay as you go Option.

The Vodafone UK APN PAYG setting for WAP allows you to access Vodafone Live! Services, The Internet APN allows you to browse the internet on your mobile device

Vodafone UK APN Internet for Pay Monthly / Business:

Name: Vodafone internet

Proxy: Leave in Blank

Port: Leave in Blank

Username: web

Password: web

Server: Leave in Blank

MMSC: Leave in Blank

MMS proxy: Leave in Blank

MMS Port: Leave in Blank

MCC: 234

Authentication type: None

APN type: default

APN protocol: IPv4

Enable/disable APN: APN enabled

If you are using a Pay as You Go Plan, you should change the APN Value to pp.vodafone.co.uk, the rest of the configurations are the same.

If you are a Contract or Montly Pay Customer, please use the following Setting.

Name: Vodafone internet

APN: wap.vodafone.co.uk

Proxy: Not Set

Port: Not Set

Username: wap

Password: wap

Server: Not Set

MMSC: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms

MMS proxy: 212.183.137.012

MMS Port: 8799

MCC: 234

MNC: 15

Authentication type: PAP

APN type: default,mms,supl,dun

APN protocol: IPv4 (unchangeable)

Enable/disable APN: APN enabled

If you are using the Pay As You Go service, you should replace the APN value with pp.vodafone.co.uk , The rest of the information remains the same.

Vodafone UK APN Pay As You Go Customers:

If you are a Prepaid, or Pay as you Go customer (PAYG), please use the following Setting.

What are APNs or Access Point Names?

The APN or Access Point Name is the information that your phone or mobile broadband device needs to connect to the internet services server from your mobile network providers.  In this case, the Vodafone  UK APN will allow you to connect to the vodafone network and browse the internet on your phone.  This information varies from network operator, so it is very important that you set it up correctly in order to be able to use their services properly

    LTE is better and faster than 4G and NO, it’s not the same. I’ve been in many countries. LTE defo works faster.
    How to get settings to set up LTE for Vodafone UK ?

      LTE *IS* a 4G network technology, there are sub-types (categories) of LTE and the speed will depend on many factors, not just the LTE type and band. I work in the industry, I know.

    Trying to configure APN for my VFD720 on monthly contract, following your guide i get to APN enable/disable which is blanked out!
    Any idea’s?
