Cannot send Picture Messages using MetroPCS on T-Mobile Network

Many folks out there are having a hard time trying to figure out which correct MMS Settings to use for their MetroPCS service.  This post we will focus on those using the T-Mobile Network.

This kind of issues come up due to wrong version of the APN Settings configured on the phone.  As you may know, Metro PCS is an MVNO that runs on several network infrastructure, being T-Mobile one of the most common.  Having this said, there are changes that after purchasing your phone or porting it to the new carrier, you are not able to connect to the internet or send picture messages.

If the issue you are having is related to the internet settings, you probably just need to setup the proper APN for MetroPCS.  However, if the internet is working and you are not capable of sending or receiving picture messages, there is a trick that might work for you

We have notice an increase number of folks reporting this kind of problems especially when they are using the LTE version of T-Mobile APN.  The trick here is trying to change a little bit the configuration so that you can keep the 4G LTE speed while being able to do multimedia messaging.  Just follow the simple steps Below:

As we mentioned, we will teach you to tweat a little bit the normal settings.  The first thing you need to do is setting up the proper LTE APN for T-mobile.  Once you have that done, you should be able to browse the internet.  Next, we would like you to change the MMS configuration portion and use the one from MetroPCS:  Go and locate the MMSC field and replace it with: http:// metropcs.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
