I tried both the 3G and 4G settings, but neither worked for me. I’m using an HTC Inspire 4G. FWIW, the above instructions indicate the ‘APN Protocol’ and ‘Bearer’ fields should be left to the default value, however my phone does not include either of these fields, so I wouldn’t be able to edit them regardless.
Need apn for sharp fx plus unlocked for att network
Thanks for the reply Kim! We will try to get back to you as fast as possible
Hi Kim thanks for the patience we still looking for a way to get to the apna you needed.
Our best guess is July 2031. It does take considerable amount of time and data to calculate the correct settings.
Thank you for your patience!
I called AT&T support 4 times and all they could come up with finally was that I needed to reset my phone! I used these APN settings and my phone is back on working correctly.
I have an HTC One X
Hi Jayme, glad to know that this at&T apn settings worked for you!
Lifesaver! So for months I have been using the 3G settings on my Verizon Note 3, completely unaware there were separate settings for 4G (H+)! I was having a hell of a time sending MMS, etc! Thanks! Have my babies?
Thanks so much for doing what even ATT tech couldn’t do! Motorola Moto X is back online after OTA Android update “broke” it.
Great information. I just installed bootstrap to my s4 with the hyper drive rom, and I was having trouble getting the 4g to work. This worked perfect.
Hi David, I’m glad that this att apn settings solved your issue 🙂
Hi, THANKS!!! After 1 hour on the phone with customer service…Nothing! They could not help me! “NO, we never adjust/change the APN settings. They are assigned by the network…. bla bla bla…” You rock! Keep up the good work!
My Galaxy S4 4G stopped receiving data just yesterday for no reason (that at&t would admit to. After following the steps you laid out :)!!! Success!

Hi Matthew, please make sure you are using the LTE apn settings.
Thank you, for me it worked like magic. God bless you!
Setting up APN worked. Hours on the phone and numerous trips to AT&T store and they said we had to buy new phone. Set up new APN’s as above and MMS & internet now both work just ducky. Thanks
Hi John, glad to know that you have your att apn settings working!
I set bearer to LTE. It seems to work great with my Galaxy S4. Is there a preferred reason to leave it “unspecified”?
Hi Jerry, there is no special reason. you can keep it as you have it.
2 Questions.
Stupid question 1 –
Are there spaces in this field?
APN type: default,supl,mms,hipri
Question 2 – I only have a choice of UNSPECIFIED for bearer. Should I leave it that way?
Hi Sean, there is no space, but it should be a selection and not something you write… you can leave the unspecified, should be OK.
Are these the same settings one would use for an international phone?
Yes Dan, as long as you are connecting to the att service
Thank you! 4g settings worked on gs3!
Hi! I’m trying to fix my dads apn settings bc him and I traded phones, he now has the iPhone 4s. Can you please help me on how to solve this so neither of us loses our contacts & other stuff on our phones? Thanks in advance!
Hi Fernanda, changing the apn settings wont make your phone loses the contacts
Omg this was a life saver! I’ve had a galaxy s3 for so long but its Verizon and my sim is for AT&T, but it was unlocked yet I couldn’t get data into right now. I am so happy I found this, I usually don’t try things like this because I’m scared it will mess up my phone but I am so glad I did. I also don’t leave comments but this deserved it. Thank you so much!!!!
