MetroPCS apn settings – Step by Step Configuration. One of the of popular prepaid wireless service provider in the United States is MetroPCS, which offer nationwide voice, text and mobile internet or data services using the infrastructure from T-Mobile and offers different gamma of speed: HSPA, HSPA+ and 4G LTE networks. And on this article we are going to teach you how to configure the latter: Setting up correctly the APN Settings on your MetroPCS network’s so that you can connect to the internet and enjoy the browsing on your smartphone!
Of course, before continue, please make sure you do have purchased a valid data plan provided by MetroPCS , it will take only a few minutes and you will be all set, for both the APN and MMS Settings for MetroPCS.
MetroPCS apn Settings – Detailed information:
As you may know, every mobile data provider offers a special set of values that has to be entered properly on the mobile phone so that it finds the correct path to the internet server, and this group of settings are the so call Metro PCS Apn Settings, in which is provided in details below:
Name: MetroPCS
APN: fast.metropcs.com
Proxy: Not Required
Port: Not Required
Username: Not Required
Password: Not Required
Server: Not Required
MMSC: http:// metropcs.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
MMS proxy: leave it blank
MMS port: leave it blank
MCC: 310
MNC: 260 (MCC & MNC jus use the default and dont change them, otherwise it will erase the settings)
APN type: default,mms,supl (mms is required for picture messaging services)
as MetroPCS, now Metro by T-Mobile, runs on the T-mobile network, you may want to also try this APN Settings for T-Mobile, which sometimes gives better result to some Metro PCS users

In case you are not sure how to set this up in your phone, it’s pretty simple also:
For Android users, you please go to Settings>More>Mobile networks>Access Point Names>Menu> you can also check this youtube for step by step guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDf-NCdLUYE
You should then create a New APN and enter the MetroPCS APN Settings we have provided to you above
Save, Restart your smart phone and test it – try opening a website in your favorite browser and you should see a small icon that either says 4G, LTE or 3G on the upper right corner of the screen indicating a data conection
At this point you should be able to take advantage of the MetroPCS Data plan on your phone! for further reference: MetroPCS Support Site

Question BYP I did this my phone is a sunsky D101 phablet I only have a signal Edge .Now with cricket I can get a 4G I love your sevice why can’t I get a 4g signal with Metro PCs.

APN type: default,supl,mms
APN protocol: Apv6

Hi Robert, this sometimes happen when the phone is locked… where did you buy your mobile from?
I figured it out it was under a different set of option in the mobile data network section.
My 3g works fine, can’t get 4g

Im bringing my sprint phone to my metropcs, i was told it was unlocked by both companies but not the techs are having trouble switching it over! They didn’t even know how to set the APN ,what are we doing wrong thanks in advance.

Metropcs didn’t know what goes in the APN & how to swap my S7 phone bought at sprint last year to my metropcs & verifying if its unlocked. Because the reps couldn’t figure it out thanks again
My phone won’t let me use data at all it’s frustrating I put in these settings and still nothing I kind of regret switching to metro I feel very unhappy with my service.

Why is there no Proxy, Port, Username, Password, MMS Proxy, MMS Port, Authentication type, etc on MetroPCS LG M260 K20 Plus?

I’ve completed all of these steps and several variations on my S6 Edge Plus. Internet is working ..MMS is still not..i think help.

i have metropcs and just paid my bill and switched my phone and no data. i have a lg g stylo from metro pcs and ive been on the phone for 7 days stright and they cant fix it please help me i have changed the apn ten times please help. no 2g 3g or 4g or lte no data at all i have factory reset the phone etc im about to pull my hair out help me please

Been having a problem with my Samsung Galaxy S7 was my girlfriends phone she bought from Sprint she upgraded to a S9 and gave me her S7, I moved the S7 over the MetroPCS Had a lot of problems with some people not being able to call me and out going calls took a few seconds to get a call going.
On May 2nd 2019 I called MetroPCS because my cell service was out tried removing the SIM card, tried turning the phone off didn’t fix it.
I was sent some settings from MetroPCS I figured I’d share them with you, they’re a little bit different.
APN Name: Name it anything ex; MetroPCS
APN: fast.t-mobile.com
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
Authentication type: PAP
APN type: default,supl
APN protocol: IPV6
APN roaming protocol: IPV4
Any thing not added mentioned above doesn’t need to be added.
Go to the 3 dots at the top right if you see the 3 dots tap save and restart your phone hopefully that fixes your problem.

When I press save it deletes everything, the first time i tried i pressed save and restarted my phone but nothing changed so I tried it again and i can’t save it. PLease help
Hi, can you check which MCC and MNC are you putting there? can you try again, and leave the MCC and MCC values by default, dont change them.
