Configuring APN or Data Settings o the Galaxy S9. Samsung is going to launch the new version of the Galaxy S series, now the top of the line Galaxy S9 phone, expected to arrive by the end of February. In order to get the most of the phone, you need to properly configure the data and MMS Settings on it.
For this purpose, we have prepared a few quick and easy steps for you to jump right into the correct settings and start enjoying the high speed internet on your phone
Step by Step instructions to configure the apn Settings on the Galaxy S9:
This can be easily done with the following steps:
- Make sure Data option is On and Turn Off Wifi
- Go to the Main Menu and tab on Settings – or slide down the notification bar and Tab on the Gear Like icon (Settings)
- Tab on Mobile Network
- Now go to Access Point Names
- On the menu Key, select Create NEW APN – (delete any existing APN Setting)
- Type in the correct APN Information given by your network operator
- Now SAVE the settings
- Select the New Profile you just created
- Exit, and now you should see a small 4G, 3G, H, H+ letter next to the signal bar
- Try browsing the internet
- If everything went well. You should also send and receive picture messages

After almost a month of trying different settings and either not having mobile data, or having everything but not having 4G, or not having MMS but 4G and mobile data, I finally have my settings right. To be able to use everything when going to Straight Talk, here are the settings I used on my Verizon phone, Galaxy S9+ SM-G965U:
