Straight talk apn Settings – Choose your service provider:
To start with, there are two Official versions of the Straight talk apn settings, one for those using Straight Talk AT&T service and another for those folks on the Straight Talk T-Mobile service: So please locate the settings that correspond to your provider.
Straight Talk AT&T service
If you are using AT&T as service provider, then please use the following values:
Name: straight talk
APN: tfdata
MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
MMS proxy: mms3.tracfone.com
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
You don’t need to setup a username nor password.
Straight Talk T-Mobile service
For those folks running on T-Mobile, please us these:
Name: straight talk
APN: wap.tracfone
Port: 8080
MMSC: http://mms.tracfone.com
MMS Proxy: Leave blank
MMS Port: Leave blank
Again, for user name and password leave it in blank
How to enter these straight talk apn settings in your phone:
- If you have an Android phone: Settings>More>Mobile networks>Access Point Names>Menu>. You can also watch this Youtube video for step by step guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SI9NBWYn2Vo
- If you have an iPhone or iPad: Setup > General > Network > Mobile Data
- Delete any existing APN you have in the phone, then reboot it
- Go back to the APN Settings menu and Enter The corresponding Straight Talk APN Settings listed above
- Save the settings and reboot the phone again
- You should now be able to browse the internet and send or receive mms in your straight talk
What happens if I cannot send or receive MMS in the Straight Talk Phone?
OK, this is a pretty common issue we have seen that many people are facing. If after properly configuring the above APN Settings you are still not able to send or receive MMS messages in your straight talk phone, then please try this:
Install one of these applications and try (Textra, Chomp SMS, Handcent, Go SMS Pro)
Check which is your default SMS app in your phone. Go to Settings>More>Default SMS App, from there try to switch to the one you downloaded and use it as Default

Try sending or receiving MMS with the app now.
Note: Inside those applications there is a place where you need to setup the Straight talk MMS settings (Settings – MMS Settings) and try inputting the MMS Settings provided above. If this is still not working, please read our Straight Talk MMS Issue troubleshooting guide

Thanks for this public information. I tried the straight talk data settings app and it wouldn’t acknowledge the Sim card. Went on this site and input the information for android and now it works.

What’s is your straight talk phone is with Verizon and not atat or tmobile. Because I went to straight talk and tried to do the apn change but when I put my number in it said I wasn’t even registered in straight talk witch is a gd lie because I just bought a $55 card and cant even use the mf I’m having to connect to wifi just to try to fix this shit

How about using my mobile hotspot? Is there an APN setting that will allow me to use it? Because I can’t right now even though I should be able to with my unlimited plan.
So I have a galaxy s6 I just activate with byop on straight talk. It’s a verizon phone. The Internet is not working and won’t let me send picture messages.

I am using a sims card from the straight talk activation kit. I am able to send messages and recurve them. I can also send picture messages, but when I try to use the Internet or any data it says I’m not subscribed to a cellular data service. Help! It’s an iPhone 5s, Verizon carrier
Hi Cameron, sending and receiving messages do not require a data plan, while using the internet does. can you confirm you have an active data plan? if you havent subscribed to any straight talk data plan, then you will receive this kind of message
Can’t get anything to work on my new straight talk sim card, no apn nothing
i have a us cellular galaxy s6 i put the straight talk sim card in and can send and receive calls but get no internet connection and cannot send text…i have tried the apn settings and nothing seems to be working

yes I have tried everything, I can send and receive calls but nothing else…no internet connection at all and no text at all

I have a Samsung j7 phone that I recently purchased from straight talk. and it will not let me add these APN settings . It only allows me to put TracFone data in APN. has Verizon listed as the name and will not allow me to remove it. Hi Kaya, you can create a New APN and this way you dont have to edit/reomve the exiting ones… once you go back to your country, just go in and select the old one back

when you are on the Access Points Names menu, hit on the options button and ADD NEW

I just got a new IPhone and chose TMobile for my network. Straight talk sent me directons and instructed me to put http://www.mmsc.tracfone in the MMSC field and it didn’t work. What you have listed on your site is correct. It worked when I put http://www.mms.tracfone and I’m glad it did because I was about to return my phone for a refund. Thank you for the correct info!

What about changing your ipv4 to a ipv6 and getting it working for your internet

Ok guys.i have a Verizon Moto g6 play. Switched to straight talk. They sent me a T-Mobile SIM card. The byop kit had bad Sim card. Now instead of 4g I get an E and drop service. Thanks

I recently activated a at&t compatible straight talk Sim card for my Alcatel, but I am still not receiving any data signal what so ever. Can u please help
None of this worked. I am a highly tech savvy person, and I can say with confidence that there is no fix for this issue. A person I spoke with who is in the know said that Straight Talk no longer allows MMS.
These did not work for me. There is more info that needs to be typed in the following slots:
Authentication Type: None
APN type: default,mms,dun
APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
APN roaming protocol: IPv4/IPv6
This was for the AT&T Network settings. When I changed this after about an hour of trying other things, it instantly started sending about a dozen text messages to my spouse, mom, and others.
I recently refilled my straighttalk account with an unlimited data plan for my iPhone 6s with straight talk sims card but I have no data whatsoever. Please help.
So why do I lose data signal everytime I refill my plan? Last time I had to find a new apn to get it back and the customer service phone line is a complete joke and are absolutely no help and seem to have little to no knowledge about cell phones and signals anytime I call, just now I had a young man ask me to change my APN while on the phone with him… so obviously training is a shoot and miss with this company. I just want the data signal that I paid for, without having to go through the trek of replacing my APN each time. Not even the one listed above works.
